PROGRAM COLLECTIVE was conceived by four designers and artists working as equal creative partners across disciplinary boundaries: Mona Kim, Todd Palmer, Olga Subirós and Simon Taylor. Working from an international base network connecting Barcelona, Paris, Chicago and London, each partner has worked in fields spanning architecture, design,semiotics, communication, museology and museography for more than a decade. The four share an interest in the application of the new technologies to create multisensorial experiences.




Mona Kim bbrings multidisciplinary experience to cultural and commercial projects, ranging from fashion advertising to design of multimedia spaces and installations. The synthesis of word, image, public space and technology encompasses her role in various projects. Her independent commissions include installations concepts and branding for the Samsung Visitor Center in Seoul, and the Canadian Museum of Human Rights. With the commission from Forum Universal de les Cultures Barcelona 2004, Mona took charge of creative direction for the Voices Exhibition, which received numerous awards including I.D., SEGD, and the Laus Award be stowed by Barcelona’s design community.

Todd Palmer brings experience developing content and creating scripts for the design of multimedia spaces and installations. Prior to joining the collective, Todd consulted with New York design and media firms including Chermeyeff & Geismar, Acoustiguide and Ralph Appelbaum Associates developing planning strategies and content for art, science and cultural museums. Todd has done independent projects for the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs, the National Civil Rights Museum (Memphis) and The Studio Museum in Harlem as an artist, writer and curator. He teaches courses at New York University on issues in museum exhibit design.

Olga Subiros brings experience in architecture, exhibit design, scenography and museography. From the last 15 years, Olga has designed exhibitions at best museums and cultural institutions in Spain: CCCB, MACBA, ASM, MARQ, MNCARS, etc. Seven exhbitions design have been published at "1994-2006 CCCB" monography. She has also been project manager for the Exhibitions Department of Forum Universal de les Cultures Barcelona 2004. Olga’s own designs have won three awards from FAD, the annual Spanish Architecture Competition at the ephemeral architecture category.

Simon Taylor brings multidisciplinary creative experience with an emphasis on the intersection of technology, the moving image and sound in space. Simon also lends perspective on successful collaborative practice as a founder and partner of the London collective Tomato, with whom he does a wide range of cultural and commercial projects. Simon very recently directed the multi-screen video experience that anchored the award-winning Voices exhibit for Forum Universal de les Cultures Barcelona 2004. He continues to experiment creatively as an artist, musician and vee-jay with ongoing gigs and exhibitions opening across Europe, the US and Japan.
